The School of postgraduate studies was created in January 2016 as a result of the growth in the University necessitating the birth of new units to be able to coordinate and over see different postgraduate different programmes and research.

The rapid rate of economic growth in Rwanda in all sectors including business and commerce has created high demands for business managers to provide solid foundations for advanced courses in business administration and management. Managerial competences and skills are some of the highly needed skill for economic growth. With the envisaged projected growth in the Rwandan economy for the coming decade(s) there is need for provision of managerial education that nurture effective management skills for sustainable growth and development of all sectors.

The goal of our postgraduate programmes (MBA) in particular is to foster transformational learning and industrial research for business leaders. Our courses are designed to engage the head, hands, and heart in service to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Through knowledge, as well as action and reflection, we build our candidates’ capacity to lead, innovate, and flourish.

Our Postgraduate Programmes aims at developing future industrious leaders and CEOs to configure with Rwanda Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS II) for 2013-2018 and vision 2050 informed by the global commitments and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Paris Declaration on Climate Change (2030); Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development (2030); East African Community Vision Agenda (2030); and the African Union Agenda 2063, Coordination Mechanism requirement for Human capital development leaders and managers spearheading for an enterprising knowledge-based society for developing  countries.
