On the 27th October 2017, KIM University held its second annual career day which included different high school institutions. The following schools were represented;
- ESSD Nyarugunga
- College Doctrina Vitae
- Emmanuel school Complex
- College Del’espoir de Gasogi
- Samuduha Integrated College (SICO)
- APAER Rusororo
- Star Secondary school
After the arrival of the participants, the Vice Chancellor of KIM University addressed the participants and explained to them what KIM University is all about. Also, the courses offered by KIM University that can add value in their future carriers.
Participants had a chance to meet officials from ICPAR, who inspired them on the advantages of enrolling in professional courses offered by KIM University. Participants also heard from professionals in the career of accountancy, who benefited this through the Accounting professional courses offered by KIM University.
The Chairman Board of Directors also addressed the participants on how KIM University is committed to nurturing young people on professionalism and entrepreneurship skills. He went on and gave statistics on how Rwanda still needs professional accountants.
The guest of honor Dr. Innocent Mugisha addressed the participants, explaining the difference between academic and professional programs. He went on telling the participants how today’s world needs professional people with skills, knowledge and experience to face challenges and triumph.
In conclusion, many students from KIM University and invited students from respective high schools got inspired and promised to participate in different professional programs. Lastly, participants got satisfied with the answers they got from all the different questions that had been raised and most youngsters promised to join KIM University.
